“ASIAN”, Buenos Aires’s Top Restaurant, Closes its Doors

Amazing steak at ASIAN in Buenos Aires

It is with sad news that we report the closing of ASIAN (pronounced Ah-See-Ahn) after 10 years in business in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The fusion steakhouse was one of the top kosher restaurants in the Argentine capital and had faired well over the years, but succumbed to what the owner deemed as “difficult times” in Argentina today, with the country’s economy headed towards another collapse.

We paid a visit to ASIAN back in 2009, and had two amazing meals there. They were the highlight of the guide to keeping kosher in BsAs (Buenos Aires), documented in this linked article from 2010. [Here is a newer article on kosher restaurants in BsAs]
