OFFICIAL: Va Bene on the UES has Closed Permanently

Va Bene, the once popular authentic Italian restaurant on the Upper East Side of Manhattan has completely closed.

The restaurant was closed for sometime doing renovations, but signage on the doors details that the restaurant is closed and selling their equipment.

That leaves Tevere, Noi Due, and Noi Due Carne as the remaining Italian cuisine kosher restaurants left in NYC

    • Va Bene was getting dated, and had lost customers. More likely, they were trying to update, and ran out of cash or investors/lenders to complete the renovation. The supervision is usually not the key factor driving financial decisions at a restaurant.
