New Kosher Bar and Grill Open in Ashkelon, Israel: Butchers

Ashkelon is a city that is growing rapidly with an observant population from those making aliyah, so we’re not surprised that the kosher culinary scene there is expanding as well.

Butchers is a bar and grill that come being run by a family that has owned a butcher shop next door for 3 generations. The family brings the experience and the quality meat to their restaurant. The restaurant mainly features gourmet hamburgers, but other options exist on the menu as well.

Friends can order a group of sliders, and for a group that’s really hungry go for the grilled meat platter for 4. The flagship dish is their butchers burger, which is a half pound of ground beef topped with skirt steak and chimmichurri sauce in a Moroccan ferena bread bun. The menu also includes salads, chicken wings, Moroccan cigars and much more.
