A North Miami Beach Staple Since 2019
Bubby’s opened in North Miami Beach back in 2019, owned by Schneur Borenstein and inspired by the West Coast’s Fish Grill concept. The menu leaned into fresh fried and grilled fish, cod, halibut, salmon, seabass, and corvina, served with hand cut fries. Breakfast options like shakshuka, eggs, and pancakes rounded out the daytime menu, along with pizza, pasta, and salads for guests who wanted something other than fish and chips.
What Made It Stand Out
Bubby’s built its reputation on freshness. The restaurant sold fish by the fillet for customers who wanted to cook at home, and it leaned into a family-friendly, no-frills atmosphere with a private room available for birthday parties, brit milahs, and other events. The name itself was the pitch: crispy, golden fish served hot, reminiscent of a bubby’s cooking.
