The gluten-free bakery and cafe, Modern Bread & Bagel, launched on the Upper East Side this week and will open additional locations in Midtown East, likely in September, and one in Englewood, NJ. The launch comes as its popularity continues to grow with locations on the Upper West Side, Chelsea, in addition to having two locations in the Los Angeles area.
Modern Bread & Bagel is known for serving GF versions of bagels, grilled cheese, freshly made bread, pastries, and more, while maintaining a familiar taste to those used to eating gluten.
The Gluten-free eatery offers bagels, pastries, bread and salads, and sandwiches. Exclusive to the Upper East Side location, the newest Modern Bread & Bagel will feature pizza by the slice all day.
The UES restaurant can be found at 1427 3rd Ave and will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Daily. The location in Midtown East will be at Lexington and 53rd St. All Modern Bread & Bagel restaurants operate under IKC kosher certification.
