Not long ago, DC had a tiny kosher scene, with one kosher meat restaurant, and less than a handful of other options. Now, with a new kosher Orthodox certifying agency in the mix, Washington, DC has a number of new kosher restaurants (nearly 10 new options!!) for kosher observant residents, visitors, and conference attendees.
While many more kosher eateries exist in the wider DC area in both Maryland and Virginia, this list is strictly within the city limits of the District of Columbia (aka DC).
