A new kashrus alert issued on March 12, 2026, by K.O.A. Kosher Supervision announced that seven Krispy Kreme locations across New York and New Jersey are no longer under kosher certification.
According to the notice from Rabbi Isamar Isaacson of K.O.A. Kosher Supervision in Lakewood, the change affects several stores in Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, and New Jersey. The alert emphasizes that the decision was not due to any kashrus violations or concerns.

Locations Affected in New York
Three New York locations that were previously operating with kosher certification are now listed as no longer certified:
- 994 6th Ave, New York, NY
- Fulton Center, 200 Broadway, New York, NY
- 22-02 31st St, Queens, NY
These locations had been among the few Krispy Kreme stores in the region that offered kosher-certified donuts.

- 96 Christopher Columbus Dr, Jersey City, NJ

- Liberty Commons, 51 NJ-17, East Rutherford, NJ
The Lakewood location is particularly notable due to its proximity to a large frum community.

Kashrus Authority Statement
K.O.A. Kosher Supervision clarified that the removal of certification is not related to any kashrus issues at the stores.
In the official notice, the agency stated that the decision “was NOT based on any Kashrus issues,” and that updates will be provided if circumstances change in the future.
Consumers who specifically seek kosher-certified Krispy Kreme products should verify the certification status before purchasing, especially as many Krispy Kreme locations nationwide are not kosher certified.
