YeahThatsKosher first reported on Pitmaster’s plans to expand to the United States last year, when the Israeli live-fire BBQ concept quietly began laying the groundwork for its first American locations. You can read our original coverage here: YeahThatsKosher previously reported on Pitmaster’s U.S. expansion.
Now, new updates shared directly by management and one of Pitmaster’s founders provide clearer timing, confirmed locations, and additional context as the rollout continues to take shape.
Pitmaster is known for its immersive dinner-and-show format, where guests dine at communal tables while pitmasters cook live over open fire. The experience emphasizes interaction, shared energy, and performance, and has driven sustained demand in Israel, where reservations are frequently difficult to secure.

South Florida Location Scheduled to Open After Pesach
Pitmaster’s first U.S. location will open in April, after Pesach. The restaurant will be located in the Aventura Waterways area, taking over the former Street Hibachi space at 3599 NE 207th Street. The location will operate under ORB kosher supervision.
The Aventura site is expected to be adapted to support Pitmaster’s signature communal dining layout and live BBQ presentation, aligning closely with the concept that has proven successful in Israel. Opening after Pesach positions the restaurant to debut during a strong seasonal period for kosher dining in South Florida.
New York City Location Now Targeting September 2026
Plans for Pitmaster’s New York City location have also been refined. According to one of the founders of Pitmaster, the Manhattan restaurant is now likely to open in September 2026.
The New York location will be situated at 27 West 24th Street, between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue, in the Flatiron area, and will operate under OU supervision. As with the other locations, the Manhattan outpost is expected to follow Pitmaster’s established live-fire, performance-driven dining model.

Momentum Continues Ahead of U.S. Launches
Interest in Pitmaster’s U.S. expansion has remained strong, particularly among diners familiar with the Israeli experience. During recent travel in Israel, demand for reservations continued, with many already asking about access to the upcoming U.S. locations.
With South Florida now set to open in April after Pesach and Manhattan expected to follow in September 2026, Pitmaster’s U.S. expansion is progressing from early announcements to a more defined rollout.
