Now Booking: Shabbat Dining at Soya by Salt, Jersey Shore

Soya’s Opening Date Announced + New Shabbat Service

Soya by Salt, the high-end kosher Japanese fusion restaurant that debuted earlier this year in Long Branch’s Pier Village, is adding a new luxury experience to its repertoire: Shabbat dinner and lunch service, beginning this weekend, June 20–21, 2025.

Important note: the restaurant won’t officially open until July 6th, but Shabbat meals are opening this weekend.

This exclusive, in-house only dining experience will run through the summer, weekly through September 20, with limited seating available by reservation. It is being offered in partnership with Wave Resort, where Soya is located, and includes premium, prix fixe Shabbat meals for both Friday night and Shabbat day.

The new offering is an expansion of Soya’s mission to bring refined kosher dining to the Jersey Shore, from the same hospitality team behind Salt Steakhouse and most of the local kosher restaurants in Pier Village. For background on Soya’s concept and its opening, check out our full article on the restaurant’s debut on YeahThatsKosher.com.

What’s Included in the Shabbat Experience at Soya

  • Four gourmet plated courses
  • Soft drinks
  • Red and white wine
  • Grape juice
  • Gratuity and service charges included

Meals are served indoors only—there is no takeout or delivery option. Both private family tables and private rooms are available upon request when making your reservation.

Venue, Hotel Info, and Local Accommodations

Shabbat at Soya is hosted at the Wave Resort, located at 15 Morris Avenue, Long Branch, NJ, in the heart of Pier Village. It shares a culinary team with Salt Steakhouse, which is adjacent to the restaurant.

Nearby hotel accommodations include:

  • Wave Resort (same building)
  • Bungalow Hotel
  • Ocean Place Resort

Each of these properties is within the local eruv, and a Shabbat minyan is held at the Bungalow Hotel each week, making this a highly convenient location for observant guests.

For questions related to the eruv or Shabbat minyan, guests can contact Rabbi Marasow at (347) 301-4270.

Kashrut and Supervision

All meals at Soya by Salt are under the kosher supervision of JSOR, the same certifying body that oversees Salt Steakhouse. Shabbat meals are prepared to Bet Yosef standards, use Pat Yisroel baked goods, and feature a full kosher wine program.

Booking Information

To reserve your seat for either Shabbat dinner or lunch—or both—you must book in advance via Tock. Seating is limited, and bookings are expected to sell out during peak summer weekends.
