[GUIDE] Special Kosher Vacation Experience at Baha Mar Resort, Bahamas

Getting to Baha Mar

As of the writing of this article, The Bahamas requires either proof of vaccination (card or digital pass) or a negative COVID-19 test when you’re at the airport. This status may change in the future and can be verified on the Bahamas Tourism website.

Our JetBlue flight was direct from JFK-NAS and was about as long as a direct flight to Miami, fairly quick. We opted for an early 6am flight, which sounds annoying, but because we were of the first flights out and the first flight to arrive at Nassau, we had no tarmac delays and were the only flight going through customs in the Bahamas. Needless to say, we were in our Baha Mar suite before 10am.

(If you want to fly to the Bahamas for free on points as I did – I recommend any of the top 6 recommended cards in our credit card portal here)

Baha Mar check-in at the airport

Getting from the airport to Baha Mar is a fairly quick 12 min drive, the closest major resort to the airport. We had reserved private VIP transportation with the resort, checking in at the Baha Mar lounge inside the airport, where we were quickly whisked into a luxury SUV with a super-friendly driver to the resort. Definitely go this route if you can and book transportation directly with the resort. (Our return trip to the airport 3 days later was in a Tesla SUV.)
