(This is a Sponsored Post) (Scroll down for a Discount Code to use at both Churchill Suites properties in Miami!)
Earlier this month I was invited by Churchill Suites to stay in their Monte Carlo property on Collins Ave & 65th street in Miami Beach, FL. Being Yeshiva Week, it was a great opportunity to spend a few nights away from the crowds of fellow New Yorkers (which I got plenty of in my stay earlier that week at the Four Points Sheraton a few miles south).
The Monte Carlo is a beautiful, upscale, condo building on the beach. Churchill Suites is a company that has long term leases for numerous condos (36) within the building that can be rented out like a hotel for a few nights, or on a longer term basis for a month or longer. Churchill Suites has a team at the property, and their services are similar to what you would expect at a major hotel, including daily housekeeping, providing you with a crib, and/or other amenities that you may need during your stay. The Churchill Suites staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Each apartment comes with a full kitchen, small dinette table, living room with a pull out couch, separate bedroom, and multiple TVs with cable/Tivo/DVD player, and your own wifi network for your condo.
When we arrived in the apartment, we (my wife and I) were impressed by the beautiful design of the condo, as well as our floor to ceiling views of the ocean. The views of the Monte Carlo’s pool overlooking the beach and ocean were magnificent, especially at sunrise! Speaking of pools, the Monte Carlo has TWO! One on the 5th floor, and one on the ground floor with beach access. The pools are beautiful and heated. Also on the 5th floor is a hot tub (next to the pool) and a modern gym/health club, as well as an indoor lounge – although lounging outside, anytime of day, seemed quite appropriate given our beautiful surroundings.
For frum travelers, the condo’s kitchens cannot be assumed to be kosher, since anyone can stay in these apartments, but they can be kashered in general, or for Pesach (this is a great place to stay for Pesach!). Additionally, there are 3 shuls under a mile away: Shalom Congregation/Casablanca Hotel (6345 Collins)(Shabbat minyan only), The Carriage House (5401 Collins), and Congregation Ohev Shalom/Chabad (7055 Bonita Dr). The Chabad also serves Friday night meals if you don’t feel like cooking.
There’s a Publix a few minutes walking from the building that has a robust kosher section on Collins & 69th.
For other kosher grocery shopping as well as a plethora of kosher restaurant options, the building is situated a short drive from both 41st in Miami Beach as well as Harding Ave in Surfside, both about a 10 minute drive away. For specific kosher restaurant recommendations in the Miami Beach area, read my post about this most recent trip, which included visits to 16+ restaurants. Upon making your reservations with Churchill Suites, they’ll send you a full list of nearby shuls, kosher restaurants, groceries, and mikvahs.
Almost forgot! The apartment has a large washer & dryer unit connected to the kitchen. Very convenient to be able to clean your clothes before you pack and go home, and obviously whilst on vacation if you don’t have enough clothes with you.
As I stated earlier, I was invited to stay here. Having said that, I still would recommend this to anyone reading this, whether you are traveling alone, with your spouse, or with a small family. We had 2 kids with us and were way more comfortable here than in the hotel. And you don’t have to take my word for it: they are the highest rated specialty lodging in Miami Beach on Trip Advisor:
