Jewish Student INTERNSHIP @ YeahThatsKosher.com

YeahThatsKosher.com has been a pet project of mine for 4.5 years, and it has grown way beyond my wildest dreams, receiving ~20,000 hits a month from all over the world. It is a site that has become a major resource to the global Orthodox Jewish community and I’m hoping it will continue to be that resource for years to come.

Having said that, it is something I’ve been managing on my own, obviously with the assistance of many guest writers (thank you!), and I admit, I need backup. I work full time as a Director of Social Media at Mindshare with some large clients … which means I cannot devote as much time as I’d like to this site. That is why I am officially seeking interns to assist me in running this site.

I have not decided how many interns are needed yet, but rest assured, if you have skills we can utilize, we’ll take you on. This is an unpaid internship, however, as a professional in the Digital Marketing / Social Media industry and now a seasoned blogger, I will be giving over my knowledge and expertise so you can learn the ins and outs of blogging, digital marketing, social media, and running a website. (If your school offers credits, I will work with you to get you credit if possible).

This is a work-from-home Internship. We may meet in person on occasion (if you’re in NYC).

Regardless of your skills, this position will require you be in touch with me on a regular basis. Communication is key. Usage of Facebook/Twitter a plus.

Here are the following skills we are seeking. You should be really good at (at least) one or more of these skills:

    1) Writing / Editing in English. Proper usage of punctuation, grammar, and your own writing style. Blogging via WordPress a plus. Knowledge of HTML a plus.
    2) Hacker / Website Guru / WordPress Maven. Our site is built on WordPress. Sometimes it gets bugs, and sometimes we want to upgrade or try new tech things on the site.
    3) Email Management. We have an email database that we don’t really use. We need to use it and grow it.
    4) Advertising. We have many opportunities to sell in advertising to many Jewish or Travel related companies. This will involve research, phone calls, and emails … and a go-getter attitude.

With all of the above skills/positions, if you excel, we can discuss ways for you to be a paid member of the YeahThatsKosher.com team.

Please send a cover letter and resume to Dani [at] YeahThatsKosher.com.

Hoping that together, we can provide an even better service to global Jewish community.

Sincerely,
Dani Klein
Founder of YeahThatsKosher.com
