Maximizing Amex and Delta Resy Credits for Kosher Restaurant Discounts

Maximizing Amex and Delta Resy Credits for Kosher Dining

American Express has made dining more rewarding by offering statement credits that apply at restaurants participating on the Resy platform. For those seeking kosher restaurants, these benefits can translate into meaningful savings throughout the year. Understanding which cards include the perk, how to trigger it correctly, and when credits expire ensures you capture the full value.

Cards That Include Resy Dining Credits

Offers up to $400 in annual Resy credits, delivered as $100 per quarter. Enrollment is required before using the benefit at eligible U.S. restaurants.
  • American Express® Gold Card
Provides up to $100 per calendar year, split into $50 from January through June and $50 from July through December. Enrollment is required and credits apply at eligible restaurants.
  • Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card
Includes up to $120 annually, credited as $10 per month after eligible purchases at participating U.S. restaurants.
  • Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Business American Express Card
Mirrors the personal Platinum Delta benefit with up to $120 per year, $10 per month, at eligible U.S. restaurants.
  • Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card
Offers up to $240 annually, posted as $20 per month, after eligible spend at participating U.S. restaurants.
  • Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card
Also up to $240 per year, $20 per month, at eligible U.S. restaurants.

How To Use These Credits Correctly

  1. Enroll the benefit once per card.
Visit your Amex account benefits page and activate the Resy credit. After enrollment, eligible purchases at participating restaurants will trigger the statement credit automatically within the card’s cadence.
  2. Choose a participating venue.
The purchase must be from a venue that uses Resy. You do not need to book through Resy. What matters is that the venue is on Resy’s network of restaurants.
  3. Pay the venue directly with your enrolled card.
Settle the bill in person or through the venue’s own checkout. Third-party delivery platforms typically do not qualify. Direct transactions at eligible restaurants are the safest way to ensure the credit posts.
  4. Consider gift cards where applicable.
Some cardholders report success purchasing gift cards directly from participating venues to “bank” value for later visits. Because policies can vary by merchant, the most reliable approach remains paying directly for dining at eligible restaurants.
  5. Track posting times.
Credits often appear within about a week, although terms allow up to eight weeks. Keep your receipts until you see the statement credit.

Deadlines You Must Know

  • Platinum Card credits are quarterly. They are $100 per quarter and do not roll over. The current period, Q3, ends September 30, so cardholders should use any remaining credit before that date.
  • Gold Card credits are semiannual, one window from January through June and another from July through December.
  • Delta Platinum and Reserve credits are monthly, resetting on the first day of each month.

No matter the card, unused credits expire at the end of the relevant period. Mark your calendar to avoid losing value.

Why This Is Especially Useful For Kosher Diners

With a growing number of kosher restaurants participating on Resy, these credits can meaningfully reduce out-of-pocket costs while exploring new spots or revisiting favorites. Households with multiple eligible cards can stack value across different timelines, pairing a quarterly credit with semiannual and monthly credits to cover a significant portion of dining throughout the year at participating restaurants.
