Mendelsohn’s Pizza Expands to Israel with New Jerusalem Location

From Brooklyn to Jerusalem

One of Brooklyn’s most recognized kosher pizza establishments is officially heading to Israel. Mendelsohn’s Pizza, a longtime Borough Park favorite, is opening its very first international location this month in the heart of Jerusalem.

New York-Style Kosher Pizza Arrives in Givat Shaul

Known for its authentic New York-style pizza and classic kosher menu, Mendelsohn’s has long been a go-to destination for locals and visitors craving a reliable slice in Brooklyn, since 1969. The opening of this new branch marks an exciting step for the brand as it brings that same flavor and nostalgia to Jerusalem’s growing kosher food scene.

The Jerusalem branch will be located in the Givat Shaul neighborhood, a bustling commercial area that has recently welcomed a number of new kosher eateries. The shop’s exact location is 11 Beit Hadfus Street, and signage and marketing materials indicate a grand opening is planned for June 2025.

First Expansion Outside New York

This is Mendelsohn’s first location outside of New York, a significant milestone for the pizzeria and for fans of New York-style kosher pizza living or visiting Israel. With its signature sauce, traditional crust, and popular pizza-by-the-slice format, Mendelsohn’s is expected to attract both locals and tourists alike.

Whether you’re a nostalgic New Yorker or simply craving a solid slice in Jerusalem, Mendelsohn’s Pizza Givat Shaul may quickly become a new staple.

Mendelsohn’s recently expanded its Brooklyn location by adding an upscale dairy restaurant adjacent to its pizzeria on 18th Ave: Cucina.
