Credit Cards

Use this Credit Card for Groceries (6% Cash Back) in the U.S.

For years, I’ve been using the American Express Blue Cash Preferred credit card, because it gives me 6% Cash Back on grocery purchases from both local and chain grocery stores, including Gourmet Glatt, Seasons, Stop & Shop, Trader Joe’s, and others.

Additionally, it gets me 3% Cash Back at gas stations.

New card features include 6% Cash Back on streaming services like Netflix, Apple Music, Hulu, Spotify, and others; as well as 3% Cash Back on transit purchases (e.g., taxis/rideshare, parking, tolls, trains, buses and more).

I only use the card at grocery stores and gas stations. I have other cards that I use for other purchases to maximize my points earnings or cash back.

Right now, new applicants can earn a $300 bonus after they spend $1,000 in purchases on their new Blue Cash Preferred® Card in their first 3 months of Card Membership. They will receive $300 back in the form of a statement credit.
