Earlier this year (announced here), the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando, FL announced the opening of a Kosher kitchen for catering events. More recently, the hotel has announced that the kitchen will also serve as a restaurant to diners (and they specifically mention Shabbat diners for guests as well) under the name of Zayde’s Kosher Kitchen.
When calling the Rosen Plaza Hotel, two guest service employees were unaware of any kosher restaurant, but upon further investigating we were able to confirm that this restaurant is currently under construction and is set to open by the end of November 2015.
According to the Zayde’s Kosher Kitchen page on the hotel website, the kitchen will be split into thirds, one for Glatt Kosher meat, Chalav Yisroel Dairy, and Pareve. (Ironically, a few months ago another kosher restaurant in the Orlando area opened with all 3 sections to their kitchen area: The Pantry Cafe)
The kitchen will be kosher under the RCF (Central Florida Vaad) and the OU.
