This year #openShabbat is partnering with JNF to run their annual Shabbat event at SXSW in Austin, TX, but also to run the Kosher Carne, a Latin food truck, featuring celebrity chef Deborah Benaim.
The kosher truck, a first for SXSW, will feature South American inspired classics including kosher arepas, yucca fries, and guasacaca.The Kosher Carne truck will be stationed across the street from the Austin Convention Center in a parking lot on the corner of Cesar Chavez and Red River. The truck, run year round in Miami, FL as the Shnitzel Truck, is Glatt Kosher under kosher supervision of Kosher Miami (aka The Vaad HaKashrus of Miami-Dade).
