Japanika – New Kosher Sushi & Grill in NE Philly

japanika-logo-kosher-sushi-phillyJapanika, no relation to the sushi restaurant in Jerusalem, is a new Kosher restaurant in Northeast Philly that just opened this past week and is run by the same owners as the local Burger.org chain. (Burger.org recently closed its Elkins Park location, but 3 others remain in Philadelphia’s Center City, Narberth, and Margate City, N.J (outside Atlantic City).

Japanika is a joint sushi & Mediterranean grill restaurant, serving the typical Israeli fare like shwarma, schnitzel, and other meat dishes alongside a full Japanese sushi menu.

According to JewishExponent.com:

Japanika will join at least five other kosher restaurants in the Northeast, including Judah Mediterranean Grille, Holy Land Grill, Holy Land Pizza, Palace Royal, and Espresso Cafe and Sushi Bar.
