NYC’s High-End Kosher Restaurants & Steakhouses

steak-chagall-bistroMany people have been emailing, tweeting, and messaging me asking me for steakhouse options in the NYC area. I’ve decided to include a few non-steakhouses but are still great high-end restaurants worthy of a date, important meeting, etc. Many of you may ask why I did or didn’t include certain restaurants in this list. I’ve excluded family places, even if they serve steak. Was attempting to make this list usable for those who want a nice night out. If there’s a restaurant that isn’t on this list that you’d like to see here, use the comments section below to make your case.

  • Why did you include prime at the Bentley? It’s really expensive, mediocre at best and a poor choice when dropping $50+ for dinner.

    • It’s a high end restaurant / steakhouse. Whether you like their food/service is a whole other ballgame. I am not qualifying any of these places beyond naming them as “high end”.

  • I tried contacting Etc Squared 2 weeks ago because I had seen you mention it in December and we were looking for a upscale meal in Lakewood. I could not find a number online anywhere, and their website basically says “stay tuned for further information about our restaurant”. I called Etc in Teaneck to find out the deal and they told me they are no longer affiliated with Etc Squared. The empty website still associates with original Etc. Do you know if they actually exist? BTW, we ended up at Estreia for a nice dinner, and I highly recommend it! It was right up there with Mike’s and Abigael’s in terms of service and quality of food.
