Kosher.com Plans Major Expansion, Despite Rumors of Closing

About a month ago, Kosher.com ceased making truck deliveries in its local market, the New York Metropolitan area. Rumors were circulating that it would be closing its figurative doors (going the way of the Pets.com sock puppet). YeahThatsKosher.com has confirmed that this could not be farther from the truth.

Kosher.com is outfitting a space the size of a K-Mart (for NYC people, imagine 1,400 bodegas put together) to house a new technologically advanced warehouse in New York City (in a borough that is not Manhattan).

They have scaled back their operation for the duration of the build out. Looking forward, consumers can expect better quality, pricing, and service from the new and improved Kosher.com.

As we count down the 6 months until the new facility is up and running, they continue to ship nationally every day and are providing limited local service via FedEx, like shipping Kosher meat on dry ice to Manhattan.

The Vaad Harabonim of the Five Towns continues to supervise Kosher.com shipments until their anticipated move when it is expected that they will bring on one of the large, nationally recognized, Kosher authorities.
